Ethical Cosmetics: Aspects of Ethical and Natural Cosmetic Products

When most people read about ethical and natural cosmetic products, they generally tend to wonder what ethical cosmetics are, and never really consider how it affects them. If that is their view, then they have a problem – if not now, then they will have in the future, because an increasing number of harmful chemicals are being used in a large number of cosmetic products to meet the needs of big business.

A lot has to do with the FDA, whose decisions appear to be based on the large Pharma corporations and the support they engender in the senate and congress. Potentially harmful substances, such as sodium lauryl sulfate and antifreeze, are allowed to be used in skin care products where such products are known to be harmful. However, that is totally irrelevant to this article which is intended primarily to explain the terms ‘ethical’ and ‘natural’ in reference to cosmetics and other personal care products.

Here are some aspects of ethical products that you should be aware of before you make any decision on which personal care product to use.

Animal Testing

Animal testing might be necessary in some instances where it could save human life, and with regard to research into drugs and medicines, it can be argued that animal research has done, and will continue to do, a lot to progress the development of drugs that have saved a great deal of human life and suffering.

While arguments can be made in this respect, and generally agreed to by the majority of people, why should we agree to blinding animals with increasing amounts of corrosive chemicals to determine how much can be used in a shampoo? Highly corrosive and toxic substances such as ethanolamine, antifreeze and EDTA have been tested on animals to the extreme in order to enable big business to produce cosmetic care products that are not harmful to humans. What’s wrong with the natural products that we already knew to be non-harmful? Money!

There are many ethical products on sale to cover all of your cosmetic needs and personal care needs without having to purchase those have had caused animal suffering. Hair care, skin care, facial products and many, many more are available online that have never seen an animal because they are natural products such as coconut oil, olive oil or shea nut extracts.

Recyclable Packaging

The planet is dying under billions of tons of waste generated to package consumer goods. Surely we can use recyclable packaging for all goods in this modern age when there is no need to use materials that can only be disposed as landfill. Ethical cosmetics and natural cosmetic products use recyclable packaging that does not degrade in landfill and pollute the water table.

Natural Cosmetic Products

Natural products are extracted from natural sources, organically grown where at all possible. A combination of long use as cosmetics and personal care products and scientific analysis has proved them to be safe and effective in achieve the results for which they are being offered. A combination of natural phytochemicals, antioxidants, moisturizers and exfoliants that help keep your skin and hair in perfect condition is surely better than a decocotion of synthetic chemicals produced from crude oil, and used as degreasers, detergents, antifreeze, floor cleaners and so on.

Yes, that is just a small example of the type of chemicals used in today’s cosmetics and skin and hair care products. Add to that substances that can cause hair loss and skin lesions and you are getting a pretty good idea of how big business is pulling the wool over our eyes with regard to the contents of their products.

Nobody doubts that natural is best, not even those that try to emulate nature with synthetics, but money comes first and if you would rather pay less for products containing these substances, then that is your decision. However, don’t complain when, in several years time, you start to regret it when you develop allergies or your skin starts to erupt with unwelcome spots, blotches and irritation.

Fair Trade

The Fair Trade project involves paying workers in developing countries a fair wage for their work and the products they produce for the West. For too long, such people have been exploited and paid a pittance to increase the profits of the fat cats in America and Europe, and the Fair Trade project was developed to resolve that.

You should use Fair Trade products as much as you can in order to be able to say that at least you, personally, are not exploiting these poor people and are doing your best to help them earn a decent living.

Ethical Products are Affordable

If you purchase products that conform to the standards of ECOCERT and use the Cosmébio label, then you will avoid all of these problems, you will feel better within yourself and you can be certain that you are using products that are not only good for you, but also good for the future of your children and grandchildren.

There are aspects of ethical and natural cosmetic products that transcend price, although there is not as much price difference between natural and synthetic cosmetic products as most believe there to be. Natural cosmetics make you look and feel better without hurting your pocket: they are affordable and will do your skin, your hair and your entire body a lot more good than the synthetic products that disguise themselves with the term ‘personal care’ products. .

For more details on why ethical cosmetic products are better for your health and beauty, visit our website, Melvita, where you will also find a massive range of products that have been produce ethically using natural ingredients for the benefit of your health: both short and long term.

Are Natural Wholesale Cosmetics Really Better?

There are so many people today pushing natural, wholesale cosmetics. It can lead us to question whether natural wholesale cosmetics is really better than the average cosmetics. How good are these products really? Are they that much different then the other wholesale cosmetics?

The answer is – yes! Natural wholesale cosmetics are a lot better for your skin than any of the average products you may have. Since ordinary skin products are filled with chemicals, natural products work much better on your skin and cause less reactions.

A common chemical put in cosmetics and skin care products is alcohol. Alcohol can dry out skin and cause a lot of other skin issues. Even though it causes these issues, it is still found in many of the different products.

Organic products on the other hand are gentle on the skin. Organic products have only natural ingredients. This is nice for people who are suffering with sensitive skin and do not want harsh chemicals working against their skin.

Organic, natural cosmetics are sometimes looked at negatively because they naturally cost more than other cosmetics. The reason for this is because they have much better ingredients than other cosmetic products. It makes sense that the better quality the cosmetic, the more you will have to pay for it.

Look for wholesale cosmetics to help with price. Or you also have the option of making your own creative skin products on your own. This will save you with price.

You can make your own face masks with ingredients you already have at home. Egg yolk and honey, for example, work great with people suffering from sensitive skin. Check out homemade natural organic skin care recipes at your favorite online sites.

Making your own skin care products, however, are a lot messier and time consuming than buying organic cosmetics that are pre-made. There are also formulas that need to be done by professionals and should not be left to a novice. Be sure to test out any of your skin care products on your arm first before trying anything on your face.

Natural Products Are Safer

Purchasing wholesale cosmetics give you the opportunity to get a lot of cosmetics at a much cheaper price. Wholesale cosmetics give you the best deals. If you buy organic, natural wholesale cosmetics you can get an even better deal because you are purchasing a product that is above the average cosmetic.

Why, you ask? Because natural cosmetic sales are growing. People are in-love with what natural skin care products and cosmetics have to offer.

One of the main selling points with natural cosmetics is they are free from chemicals. They have only natural ingredients, such as essential oil. Using pure, organic materials is a lot safer on your body than using cosmetics with chemicals in them.

Last year a shocking study was done by the group Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. This advocacy group found that the vast majority of 48 major-brands of baby-care products contain at least one of two dangerous chemicals formaldehyde or 4-dioxane. Both of these harmful chemicals are thought to be a cause of cancer.

This study was very shocking because if those harmful chemicals are found in the supposedly gentle baby care products, what kind of chemicals are in the adult cosmetics? A huge controversy is continuing to go on about how safe average cosmetics are. Several deodorants, shampoos and soaps have publicly been criticized for containing dangerous chemicals in them.

Companies that have used these types of dangerous chemicals have a few options. Good companies now carry warnings on their products or pull the products off the product line. Other companies are not as ethical, and leave their products on the shelves, regardless of the safety issues.

Natural cosmetics, on the other hand, are less risky. They are less irritating for the body and skin than general cosmetics. This is quickly made clear to people who have skin problems which clear up when they switch their current foundation to a natural makeup foundation.

Natural and organic makeup and skin care products have many advantages. They protect the body best from harm. Natural is the way to go if you don’t want to allow chemicals to hurt your body.

Dangerous Cosmetics And Teenage Girls. Don’t Mix The Two

Many people are not aware that many big name brands of cosmetics contain ingredients that are extremely suspect. Now a new study has warned about dangerous cosmetics and the effects that these products can have on teenage girls.

Unfortunately the cosmetics that so many of us use are loaded with ingredients that we really ought not be putting on our faces. For example a recent study of big brand name lipsticks showed that over 50% of the lipsticks tested contained lead.

Lead? Is it possible that we the public are unknowingly using cosmetics like lipstick that contain lead? Yes it is. It’s a sad fact that the FDA doesn’t regulate cosmetics, or for that matter skin care or anti aging products like it regulates drugs.

And yet for those of us using cosmetics we are putting them into our systems just as if they were drugs. When you apply a cosmetic product like a lipstick or a blush our a rouge some of that products ends up inside of us.

That’s because our skin is porous and what we put onto it soaks in and ends up in our bodies rather than just on our skin. Moisturizers, for example, are rubbed in a disappear. Where do they go but into our system? Ok if they are harmless, but what if they’re not?

And now a recent study has cast doubt on whether it’s safe for our teenage girls to use some cosmetics. I’ll quote from the website of the Campaign For Safe Cosmetics which summarizes the results clearly.

“Laboratory tests reveal adolescent girls across America are contaminated with chemicals commonly used in cosmetics and body care products.”

That’s scary. It gets worse and makes worrying reading for any parent of a teen who uses cosmetics regularly, and who doesn’t? Most in fact use more than the average woman.

The Environmental Working Group found chemicals from 4 different families of chemicals (phthalates, parabens, triclosan and musks) in the urine of girls between the ages of 14 and 20 who were tested in the study.

Some of these chemicals were found in the urine of every single girl tested.

Adolescence, of course, is a time when the maturing female body is growing fast and dealing with hormonal changes, and girls of this age do not want to be loading their bodies with potentially toxic chemicals.

The chemicals tested for are considered to be hormone altering chemicals, and so it raises some questions about the implications of teenage girls using cosmetics and skin care products and also possibly acne treatments where there is a good chance they could be loading their systems with these chemicals.

No one really knows, we’re entering an unknown area and the implications for the future health and in particular hormonal and reproductive health is completely unknown.

Either way, so we want our children taking these unknown risks with common cosmetics and skincare and other personal and body care products?

It’s a matter of serious concern for anyone. But there are solutions. There are very good companies that have dedicated themselves to making natural cosmetics and natural skin care products that don’t contain dangerous chemicals. They work extremely well and don’t expose our daughters to the risks inherent in mainstream cosmetics.

Unfortunately these companies are small niche companies unable to compete with the big brand names, and they don’t even try to compete. You’ll never find them advertising on TV for example. And you’re unlikely to find their products in the department stores either.

However if you take the time to find them their natural cosmetics and natural skin care products are excellent, and price competitive.

So don’t play Russian Roulette with your daughters health. Find some top shelp natural cosmetics and natural skin care products that don’t contain dangerous chemicals.

Paraben Preservatives and Cosmetics: Controversy and Alternatives

Increasing concern for the safety of ingredients in cosmetics has brought some widely used cosmetic preservatives by the family name ‘paraben’ to center stage. Paraben preservatives are listed under multiple names and are used to preserve the majority of cosmetics on the market today, not only to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi but also to promote the abnormally long shelf-life of products.

As with chemically preserved foods, paraben preserved cosmetics ensure that the cosmetic manufacturer can produce the product en masse and take comfort in a multi-year shelf life. Paraben preservatives have recently come into question with new studies that link the daily exposure of paraben preservatives to breast cancer and endocrine-disruption issues.

What Exactly are Paraben Preservatives?

Parabens are synthetic preservatives that have been in use since the 1920s as “broad-band” preservatives (anti-bacterial and anti-fungal) which means that they work within a formula to prevent the growth of multiple possible contaminants such as bacteria, yeast, mold and fungi. They can be found in approximately 75-90 percent of cosmetics such as make-up, lotion, deodorants and shampoos.

According to ‘A Consumers Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients’, water is the only cosmetic ingredient used more frequently than paraben preservatives. (Winter, 2005) Paraben is the family name for the following permutations of the ingredient found on a common product ingredient label:

– Butylparaben
– Ethylparaben
– Methylparaben
– Propylparaben
– Benzyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid (p-hydroxybenzoic acid)
– Methyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid (p-hydroxybenzoic acid)
– Ethyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid (p-hydroxybenzoic acid)
– Propyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid (p-hydroxybenzoic acid)
– Butyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid (p-hydroxybenzoic acid)
– Parahydroxybenzoic acid (p-hydroxybenzoic acid)
– Parahydroxybenzoate (p-hydroxybenzoate)

The Paraben Controversy

Linked to Breast Cancer: Though paraben preservatives only account for a very small percentage of a product’s actual formula they are quite potent. A study published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology in 2004 expressed concern regarding the use of paraben preservatives.

In the UK, researchers found traces of it in 19 out of 20 women with breast tumors. (Winter, 2005) Though the studies did not determine if the ingredient was the cause of the breast tumors, it did establish that pervasive use of this synthetic ingredient is biocumulative.

Possible Endocrine Disruptors: Paraben preservatives have also been identified as endocrine disruptors. The endocrine system is instrumental in regulating the body’s hormones. Paraben preservatives are believed to mimic the female hormone estrogen when introduced into the body.

According to recent research, more than 60 percent of topically applied chemicals via cosmetics, lotions, etc. are absorbed by the skin and dispersed throughout the body by the bloodstream. Once absorbed into the body, paraben preservatives mimic the hormone estrogen and can disrupt the body’s normal hormonal balance.

In the Archives of Toxicology (2002) , Dr. S. Oishi of the Department of Toxicology, Tokyo Metropolitan Research Laboratory of Public Health, Japan, reported “that exposure of newborn male mammals to butylparaben adversely affects the secretion of testosterone and the function of the male reproductive system.”

This artificial provocation and inflation of estrogen in the endocrine system has been linked to breast cancer in some women as well as the abnormal hormonal development of children including the hormonal “feminization of boys” which may influence the suspected link in decreasing testosterone levels and sperm count in the male reproductive system. It has also been hypothesized to contribute to the early maturation of girls at increasingly younger ages.

Do All Cosmetic Companies Use Paraben Preservatives?

Not all cosmetic companies use paraben preservatives and many are phasing out their use now that enough questions have been raised about their overall long term safety. New cosmetic companies, more focused on offering natural and organic products, have made their “no paraben” policy a platform issue. This means there are a wide variety of paraben-free products which are mostly now available for purchase in health food stores and on the internet.

With the increasing popularity of the natural and organic body care market more companies are jumping on the proverbial “natural” band wagon. With this additional commercial interest and the lack of FDA regulation around the word “natural” one must never rely solely on a company’s marketing and advertising claims and always read the ingredient label to confirm that an ingredient is truly not being used in the formula.

Alternative Preservative Systems

There are good reasons why paraben preservatives are the defacto cosmetic preservative. They are cheap and effective. However, safer and more natural alternatives are available. With formulas that contain certain organic (living) ingredients and/or water as an ingredient, a more aggressive non-paraben preservative must be used to ensure the stability of the formula.

In general, the next best option is a synthetic preservative called Phenoxyethanol which has a synthetic chemical composition inspired by a natural anti-bacterial/anti-microbial chemical found in the sage plant. It’s easier to use a natural preservative in formulas that are basically inert (like most powder mineral cosmetics) or have an oil base and no water (like lipstick or liners). In products such as these, a plant extract or essential oil with anti-microbial and anti-oxidant properties such as grapefruit seed extract, grape seed extract or tocopherol (vitamin E) is used as an effective preservative system. In any case, the manufacturer should perform proper stability testing to ensure that the product’s preservative system lasts.

Resources for the Risk Adverse

Much research and observation still needs to be done to ultimately determine the true long term safety and consequences of the wide spread use of paraben preservatives as a daily part of our skin regimen and subsequent absorption diet. The current studies questioning paraben preservatives fundamental safety and the current lack of FDA testing or regulation regarding cosmetics establish a good case for avoiding these questionable ingredients all together.

An excellent resource to determine the overall safety of almost any personal care product is the Environmental Working Group’s (EWG) Cosmetic Database. This database culls world-wide collective scientific ingredient and cosmetic studies as well as governmental toxicity databases from around the world (examples US, EU, Japan, Korea) and gives a toxicity ranking based on this collective data. The online interface is easy to work with. One simply types in the name of a product/brand or an ingredient and the database will return all the relevant information about that query and its safety. The EWG’s database is a work in progress and is always being refined for further detail and clarity.

Conclusions

More comprehensive studies are needed to conclusively determine the true scope of the damaging effects of prolonged exposure to paraben preservatives by way of the cosmetic ingredients we use every day. A serious effort to reassess the safety of these products must be undertaken by a non-biased group of researchers. To date, among the studies that have been done world-wide, paraben preservatives have been linked to breast cancer and have been labelled as a possible endocrine disruptor that might have specific damaging consequences for young children and those with ongoing exposure.

Luckily, we have more options than ever before and can take ourselves out of the equation entirely by educating ourselves and opting for products that use different preservative systems and fewer questionable ingredients in general.

Benefits of Using Natural Skin Care Products

Today, a lot of people have started using natural skin care products as compared to traditional cosmetics, which contain chemicals in them. The changing preferences of people for naturally made products that are safe and effective on the skin has forced many cosmetic brands to manufacture such natural skin care products. One of the main reasons why people wish to avoid using traditional cosmetics is the side effects that come with these kind of cosmetics, which have high chances of causing more damage to the skin.

These cosmetics may not work on every skin type and people with sensitive skin may be prone to more allergies and skin irritations. Besides, the vast amount of toxins and chemicals in these cosmetics can eventually cause harm to your skin in the long run. Thus, more number of people today prefer using natural products, which are free from chemicals. Most of these natural skin care products are made using natural substances found in nature. These contain powerful healing properties that can be used to treat various skin related problems like acne scars, pigmentation, age spots among others. These products are mainly derived from plant extracts, which are safe and far more effective than the chemical based cosmetics.

Besides, they have the ability to penetrate into the skin and help in skin repair and reduce the extent of damage caused to the skin. These natural skin care products are most suitable for people who have sensitive skin and looking out for safe skin treatment options to cure their problems. The effects of using these natural skin care products are long lasting and they are made using superior quality ingredients. These products are gentle on the skin and offer greater protection while healing them effectively at the same time.

Most of the chemical based cosmetics can prove to be harmful to the skin as there are greater chances of these creams getting absorbed into the skin. As a result of this, they can lead to acne breakouts, skin allergies and other kinds of skin related problems. On the other hand, natural products can be used safely on the skin, as they do not cause any side effects on the skin even after penetrating deep into the skin. It is always better to use natural skin care products, which provide maximum benefits to your skin with good results.

Though some of these products can prove to be a bit expensive, it is worth investing in them to get long lasting effects. If you have any skin related issues, you can consider using natural skin care products, which can provide you with good relief and help you in dealing with this condition effectively. You can even search for some good natural and homemade remedies on the Internet and use these recipes for making your own natural products.

Tea seed
Actual Size 7-9mm
—————————–
Camellia Seed Oil
Over the last few years, there has been an increase of tea seed oil being used in western cuisines especially in countries like UK, Germany, US and Canada.

Tea seed oil is obtained principally from Camellia oleifera, which grows widely in 17 provinces of South-China. This camellia fruit is a dry capsule divided into 1-5 compartments, each containing 1-8 seeds.

Camellia Seed

Camellia Seed Oil or Tea seed oil should not be confused with tea tree oil or melaleuca oil, which is a native essential oil found in Australia for its medicinal application.

This oil is the main cooking oil in southern provinces of China, about one seventh of the entire China population. It enjoys similar characteristics with Olive oil with its high mono unsaturated fats contents (75-85%). In addition, it is high in vitamin E, polyphenol and other trace minerals, zero cholesterol, trans fat, omega 3,6 and 9.

It is frequently used in salad dressing, marinades, for sautéing, stir fry, dips, steam and deep fry.

It’s rich heritage is dated back 2300 years ago during the Song Dynasty where the tea seed oil is used as royal gourmet cuisine for the Royal family only. It’s health properties was recorded in the Compendium of Materia Medica and ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine journals for the following benefits :

1. lower cholesterol
2. natural disinfectant
3. improve immunity system
4. cleanse colon
5. improve complexion, promote hair growth
6. heal scar marks
7. relieve heatiness
8. reduce constipation problem

Tea seed oil is nearly odourless, pale yellow in colour with light viscosity and light nutty taste. It has a long shelf life of 18 months and should be stored in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Camellia seed oil is also a common base ingredient in many shampoos, hair conditioners, moisturiser, as a carrier oil in aromatherapy products, massage oil, etc.

In Japanese, Tsubaki means camellia and it is a traditional culture to use its tea seed oil for skin, scalp and hair care.

With the rising awareness of Health and natural ingredients and organic food and cosmetics heating up, more consumers are switching to plant based ,natural and environmental friendly products.

Create Your Perfect Look with These Indispensable Products by Becca Cosmetics

While we women are no less beauty conscious today than we ever were, many of us have become more health-aware. As technology brings more and more knowledge into our homes, placing it right at our very fingertips via the Internet, we are naturally becoming much more discerning shoppers.

Our increased knowledge has also brought with it an unprecedented demand for quality and safety in the products we buy. We’ve learned that cosmetics needn’t be harmful to make us beautiful, that we don’t have to trade our health for an attractive appearance, and that good health will, in fact, impart a glow that will only enhance the beauty our cosmetics provide. And all of that is good news.

Now that we know these natural beauty secrets, we have only to find a dependable line of beauty products that can bring a healthy radiance to our skin without bombarding our bodies with harmful chemical additives. One such collection is the Becca line of natural cosmetics.

Becca cosmetics contain a wide variety of natural ingredients to pamper, purify, and protect your skin, while providing a naturally flawless finish. From antioxidant-rich SPF-30 Mineral Primer to natural Mineral Powder Foundation and lusciously luxurious moisturizing lip color, Becca cosmetics offer you the confidence that your beauty will be more than skin-deep when you treat your skin to the array of ingredients that come straight from nature to you.

Becca Boudoir Skin Mineral Powder Foundation is one perfect example. Containing antioxidant Vitamins A (Retinol), B, C, and E, this formula is completely free of parabens, oil, phenoxyethanol, chemical dyes, fragrance, and talc. When applied over moisturized skin, this natural mineral powder foundation provides flawless coverage that’s water-resistant and long lasting. This foundation is available in five shades: Bloom (a neutral, fair-medium shade), Rapture (a light tan shade), Dream (a medium neutral-yellow shade), Desire (a warm medium shade), and Bliss (a light-fair neutral shade). Natural Aloe and Honeysuckle extracts, Jojoba, and Safflower Seed Oils round out this formula, nurturing your skin and giving it a new radiance.

Becca Sheer Tint Lip Color is another popular member of the Becca natural product lineup. This rich formula moisturizes lips while providing a sheer mantle of color. Ultra-rich emollients, including Shea Butter, Cocoa Seed Butter, Cylindrica Seed Oil, and Castor Seed Oil combine with Beeswax and natural Honey Extract to nourish and beautify your lips. This item is available in seven vibrant shades to help you create the look you love: Yasmina (a mauvy nude shade), Estella (a baby-pink tinted nude shade), Vendela (a rosy nude shade), Milla (a black currant shade), Gisela (a caramel nude shade), Laelia (a peachy nude shade), and Alina (a sheer reddish orange shade). Whichever shade you choose, you’ll know you’ve selected a lip color that will hydrate and beautify, while letting the natural glow of your lips shine through.

The Becca Cosmetics Three-Piece Natural Nudes Lip Collection is another Becca lip color that provides a variety of looks, while infusing your lips with skin-enhancing nutrients. The dual-ended lip liner pencil, which contains Coconut Oil, Fruit Wax, and Coco-Glycerides, consists of a nude end to create fuller lips and prevent color bleeding, and a darker end to provide definition. The striking silver tube of Sheer Tint Lip Color, containing Castor Seed Oil, Honey Extract, and Beeswax, provides sheer, lightweight coverage for a completely natural look. As an optional final coat, the Vitamin E-enriched Glossy Lip Tint provides added color and a high-shine finish.

The Line Plus Illuminate Pencil, a Becca Cosmetics mainstay, is a dual-ended pencil designed for use in defining, lining, contouring, and illuminating the eyes. This versatile member of the Becca lineup features smooth, velvety eye liner formulas that virtually glide on for easy, trouble-free application and more precise lines. Use the darker liner end to define the lash line and the illuminator end to highlight the inner eye or brow areas or even as a cream eye shadow.

The Line Plus Illuminate Pencil contains Coconut and Castor Oils, Fruit Wax, and Titanium Dioxide, a natural mineral sunscreen. Available in five color-coordinated duos to help you create the perfect look: Ibiza (kohl black liner and glittery gold illuminator), Mustique (rich brown liner and shimmery pink illuminator), Madagascar (light brown liner and glittery goldenrod illuminator), Fiji (dark brown liner and glittery green illuminator), and Capri (kohl black liner and glittery silver illuminator). Use a lighter touch for daytime wear, while applying more heavily for a more dramatic evening look.

The Becca Cosmetics Collection, a specially formulated Australian brand, emphasizes the natural look that’s become so popular today. The company, founded by Rebecca Morrice Williams as part of her quest to find the “perfect” foundation, aspires to help all women, regardless of age or ethnicity, achieve a radiant and flawless complexion while creating their most beautiful look. At the basis of the Becca beauty regimen is a carefully designed three-step process: Prepare, Perfect, and Set. This process, developed by National Makeup Artist and Trainer Jo Levy, integrates perfectly with the Becca cosmetics line to help women achieve their most energetic beauty goals.

What’s currently in my purse. ♥ & currently what I bring to work everyday.

I am missing my iPod touch though.. it was sadly left in my mother’s car two days ago. Hopefully it will turn up soon as it’s very hot out. I’m also missing my Blackberry… a must for any young professional, I guess.

B/c of very recent personal health concerns (re: life changing) I have now made it a must to carry a small photobook of everyone/thing that makes me smile.

(You can see the original here from 2006. Scary how things change.)

Using Natural Cosmetics

Using only natural cosmetics which are believed to be best in all kinds of cosmetics is often advised by experts to women . Regardless of the fact that natural cosmetics are costlier than those which contain artificial ingredients it does make more sense to choose the former because for the extra dollar that you spend on buying them you are sure to get added value and many health benefits.

Prime Motivating Factor

Your health should be the prime motivating factor and so you must make it a point to find out how natural cosmetics can benefit your skin and health more than cosmetics that are filled with artificial ingredients. With the help of natural cosmetics reviews you can find out more about the better pands as well as the best manufacturers and then you can start searching for more affordable options.

No doubt, natural cosmetic prices tend to be higher than for cosmetics that use artificial ingredients but here you can use a natural cosmetics review to find out how paying a little extra can help you ensure getting more health benefits that will pay back the extra price you have to pay to use natural cosmetics.

Your main concern when using cosmetics is to ensure a healthier skin and so if you compare complexions of women that use natural cosmetics with those that use artificial cosmetics you will immediately notice that the former category of women possess better looking and healthier skins.

A good natural cosmetics review will point you in the right direction and show you which natural cosmetics you can safely use for your skin and how to purchase these products at more affordable costs. So, don t wait any longer and start benefiting from reading natural cosmetics reviews to find out more about which natural cosmetics to use.
